Oware is a board game of the Mancala family of pit and pebble games which date back to ancient times and are played worldwide with variations as to its layout, number of players, strategy and rules. This game has many different names: Oware (Ashanti Region of Ghana), Ayò, Ayoayo (Yoruba), Awalé (Ivory Coast, Benin), Adji (Ewe), Wari (Mali), Ouri, Ouril or Uril (Cape Verde), Warri (Caribbean), Wali (Dagbani), Nchọ/Ókwè (Igbo), Ise (Edo), etc. A common name in English is Awari or Oware. This game is sometimes also called "Kalahari", possibly by false etymology from the Kalahari desert in Namibia.
It is one of the best intellectual games for kids and adults. Easy to learn! A great present for any occasion.
The game starts with four beads in each circle. The objective of the game is to capture more beads than one's opponent. Since the game has only 48 beads, capturing 25 is sufficient to win the game.
The board games we make are engraved onto faux leather and reinforced with stainless steel eyelets. Easy to transport, pull the cord and the game is packed and ready to go! You may take our games to go while traveling or visiting. When packed, our games don't take up much space, so you may take your board game collection with you easily!
What you get, is the full game, with the 48 glass beads in the color of your choice and english rules.
